Phil Demos, AKA Friar Phil, has been serving as the Youth Pastor of Calvary Gospel Church (CGC) since September 2003. Prior to his appointment as Youth Pastor, he served on the youth team as the Choir Director of CGC’s Youth Choir.

Pastor Demos was born in Greece as a “missionary kid” and lived in Europe until his freshman year of high school. After finishing high school in St. Paul, MN, Phil moved to Madison in 1997 to attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He graduated in 2001 with a degree in Management and Information Systems.

Phil received his local minister’s license from the United Pentecostal Church in 2006. He also has served as a sectional youth representative for Wisconsin Youth Ministries since 2006 and the Wisconsin District Youth Secretary since March of 2010.

He and his lovely wife, Fiona, have been married since June of 2004. Although they have no children of their own, they’re known as Mom and Dad to the youth at church. Phil currently works full-time as a web developer for a small company while serving the young people of Calvary Gospel Church.
