Ministry Directors, Tim & Kim Knaup

Both Tim and his wife Kim Knaup are graduates of the University of Wisconsin at Madison. They experienced the life changing power of Pentecost as freshmen attending the UW in 1985. They have been involved in Campus Ministry since that time and have been directors of the Campus/College & Career Ministry of Calvary Gospel Church since 1986. They both have a love for working with young adults in this ministry, helping them make college and career path choices and in the overall transition into adulthood. Both share the same desire to share the Gospel (that same New Birth experience that changed their lives as college freshmen) with students on the Madison campuses and others in that same age group. This ministry is a part of the Student Ministries of Calvary Gospel Church.

The CMI Badger Chapter, which meets on the UW-Madison Campus, has had several names over the 40+ years of existence but the mission has always been the same:

REACHING OUT – in Evangelism

The Badger Chapter of CMI reachs out on the Madison area campuses with the Apostolic Message of the New Birth. Several methods are used including small group meetings, Bible Studies, and surveying of the students.

REACHING UP – in Worship

The CMI members reach up in worship through College Church Services, prayer meetings, and gathering for weekly services at Calvary Gospel Church.

REACHING IN – in Discipleship

The CMI group works with college and high school students who have experienced the New Birth by equipping them for ministry and serving as a support network. Some of the ways this is accomplished are leadership training, recreational activities, and mentoring and discipleship classes taught by students and geared towards students.
